Printing Calendars in Various Formats
Below is summary of each type of printed calendar.
Multi-Page Wall Calendar
Most multi-page custom wall calendars are 8.5” x 5.5”, 11” x 8.5”, 9” x 12” or 12” x 12” in size. They’re usually printed in 24-page or 28-page formats. Once printed, they’re saddle stitched or spiral bound and a small hole is drilled for hanging.
Single Sheet Wall Calendar
A single sheet wall calendar simply means that the calendar is printed as a mini poster. Sizes range from 6” x 18”, 11” x 17”, 24” x 36” or anything in between. This type of wall calendar is usually printed on one side. We can laminate wall calendars so anyone can write on it with a dry-erase marker.
Padded Desktop Calendar
Desktop Calendars are large pads that sit on the desktop. Typically they’re 22” x 17” in size and have 12-24 sheets per pad. They’re available in 2 formats: Printed with blank calendar templates or printed with all months and dates filled in.
Two advantages to printing calendars with a blank template are: 1) the same template is used for all sheets, keeping your costs down and 2) your calendar never goes out of date and can be passed out year-round. Note: The generic calendar has all the months and dates along the bottom of each sheet for easy reference.
Small Desktop Calendar
Desktop calendars are small, take up less than 7” x 5” of space, and come in a variety of formats.
Spiral-bound with 12 sheets (one for each month). They sit upright and the sheets flip over with each new month.
Another option is a single sheet 6.25” x 18” long that folds to 6.25” x 4.5”. These can be hung on the wall in an office or cubicle or folded into a “table tent” to sit on the desk. Despite its small size this calendar shows the full calendar year.
Pocket Calendars
Pocket calendars are another option. These types of print calendars are often designed as multi-page saddle-stitched booklets 6.5” x 3.75” in size. They can have as many pages as you’d like, but most common is 24-32. Due to its small size, a pocket calendary can easily fit in a purse or briefcase. They make great appointment books to hand out to customers and clients.
